Sidharth Shukla, who rose to fame with his role in the long-running TV show Balika Vadhu and Bigg Boss 13, breathed his last today. The actor suffered a heart attack this morning (September 2), and succumbed to death at the Cooper hospital in Mumbai. Shukla was 40.

Confirming the news, a senior doctor at the Cooper hospital told PTI, “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago.” Ever since the news surfaced online, social media has been abuzz with messages for the star. Fans are in shock while the film fraternity cannot believe the news.
Manoj Bajpayee took to Twitter to pay tribute to Shukla and wrote, “OMG!!! This is So Shocking!!! Words will fail to describe the shock and sense of loss of his near and dear ones !!! May he rest in peace !!! No yaar !!!!” The actor is survived by his mother and two sisters.
Sidharth Shukla entered the industry as a model and made his acting debut with a lead role in the television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. The actor went on to appear on shows including Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi, and Love U Zindagi. After working for a couple of years in the television industry, Shukla finally became a household name with Balika Vadhu. He has also been a part of many reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and Bigg Boss 13. Shukla was declared the winner of the 13th season of the controversial show, Bigg Boss. In 2014, Shukla also made his Bollywood debut with the Karan Johar-produced Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania where he had a supporting role. The actor was also rumoured to be a part of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush.
Apart from this, the actor was frequently in news for his equation with former Bigg Boss contestant, Shehnaaz Gill. The two were often spotted together and the fans had even given them a nickname – SidNaaz. The two had previously appeared in several music videos of songs like Shona Shona, and more. The two were also rumoured to be entering the Bigg Boss OTT house as well. May his soul rest in peace.
