SS Rajamouli Talks About The Possibility Of An 'RRR' Sequel
Is There An ‘RRR’ Sequel Already In Works? SS Rajamouli Isn’t Shutting Out The Idea

‘RRR’ is based on a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, and the ending of the first part left scope for a sequel

RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, is everything people are talking about. Starring Ram Charan as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Jr NTR as Komaram Bheem, the film is a fictional tale of two Indian revolutionaries. The patriotic film has surpassed several records to become the first film to reach a collection of Rs 1000 crore globally at the box office. But the question that the fans are still asking is about the possible sequel of the same.

The final scenes of RRR do leave room for a sequel, and just like Baahubali, there could be a possibility that Rajamouli returns with a sequel of this film as well. Shedding light on the same, Charan and NTR said they would not mind being a part of another Rajamouli film, especially if it is a sequel to RRR.

During the Rs 1,000 crore success bash, NTR said, “Rajamouli sir needs to make RRR 2. There needs to be a conclusion to this story. I was just talking to someone earlier today and I don’t know why I said it, but I said RRR is a franchise. Hopefully, those words will come true.”

Charan quickly reacted to this and said, “NTR first let the release of RRR conclude, then think about the sequel. Of course, we will all be delighted to work together again if Rajamouli sir thinks of making RRR 2. I hope your wish comes true brother.”

Reacting to the demand, SS Rajamouli told News18. “We made RRR in 2020 and it’s 2022 and I am still trying to cool off from the heat generated by it. Let things cool down. For me, it will be a great pleasure to make a sequel, not just because of what RRR will achieve at the box office, but I will get more time to spend with my two brothers. That will be more exciting for me. But let time unravel and see what happens.”

However, Rajamouli’s father, V Vijayendra Prasad, who is the writer of the movie, confirmed the news. At the party, he stated that they are planning to turn the movie into a franchise and soon there will be a sequel planned. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos.
