Shershaah is now the highest-rated Hindi movie on IMDb. Directed by Vishuvardhan and produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, which was released digitally last week on Amazon Prime Videos.

Within a week of being digitally released, the film has been watched by millions of people and not only the film but also the songs of the film are a huge hit. The film has been receiving huge appreciation from viewers as well as critics. The film is based on Kargil War and the sacrifices a soldier makes for the country. Malhotra plays the role of Kargil war hero, Captain Vikram Batra whereas, Advani as Dimple Cheema.  The film has now been rated 8.8/10 on IMDb which makes it the Hindi movie with the highest rank.

Malhotra took to his Instagram handle to express his grateful attitude about the same and captioned, “Feeling on the #Top of the world, literally Thank you to everyone for making this happen. This is for all of you who are showering love and support for #Shershaah and are making it so special and memorable for me.”

The twin brother of Vikram Batra, Vishal Batra has also praised the actor for playing his brother’s character perfectly. Malhotra has played both roles of the brothers in Shershaah. 

The film was originally was for a theatrical launch. While the pandemic stood in the path, it is proven that the movie would have been a big hit in the theatres. Nevertheless, you can watch it on the OTT platform.
