Here’s Why The SRK-Priyanka Chopra Version Of ‘Robot’ Didn’t Work Out

The movie was all set to be produced by Red Chillies Production but it didn’t work out in the end

Rajinikanth’s latest offering, 2.0 has already been getting rave reviews and the film is well on its way to a Box Office high. However, what many do not know is that despite the success of Robot, the superstar had declined the part in 2.0 because of health concerns.

Timesnownews reports that Aamir Khan, who had been offered the role of Chitti in 2.0, backed out of the movie as he couldn’t picture anyone besides Rajinikanth playing the role. However, according to the news website, Shah Rukh Khan had been approached to play the lead roles of Chitti and Dr Vaseekaran.

The movie was all set to be produced by Red Chillies Production and Khan told Taran Adarsh in a 2011 interview that he had even signed Priyanka Chopra to play the female lead – the role that ultimately went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the actor and director Shankar had to part ways due to differences in working styles.
