The sudden surge in Covid cases across the country has once again compelled the government to take strict actions to curb the spread of the virus. In the past few years, Khan has always made sure that he treats his fans with a film on Eid, but last year due to Covid, he had to shift the release date of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Fans expected the actor to release the film on Eid 2021, and Khan did exactly what his fans wanted. He kept his promise and announced that the film will hit the theatres on May 13 this year. But now with so many people contracting the virus and partial lockdown implied in India, the actor is thinking about releasing the film on Eid 2022.

Khan talked about the film when he arrived for the virtual cover launch of Kabir Bedi’s forthcoming memoir, Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life of an Actor. “We were going to release Radhe, we still are trying our best to release it on Eid. But if the lockdown continues, we might have to push it to next Eid. But if it opens up, (and) the cases (drop) and people do take care of themselves. (If) they wear their masks and keep their social distance, and take good care of themselves. (If they) Don’t go out, don’t break any of these laws (Covid-19 rules) that the government has put on us right now, I think this will die off really soon,” stated the actor.

He went on to say, “If it happens, we will have Radhe in theaters in Eid. But, if the citizens do not follow these, it will not only be a problem for theatre-owners but also the daily wage workers. It is just going to be a really bad one, like it was earlier. Everyone should be really serious and ensure we kill this coronavirus and move on in our lives before it kills us all.” Asking everyone to take care, the actor concluded by saying that we should be able to “move on in our lives before it gets us all.”

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is backed by Yash Raj Films and will see Salman Khan romance Disha Patani on the screen. The film also features Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda in key role. Radhe is co-produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Atul Agnihotri under the banners Salman Khan Films, in association with ZEE Studios, Sohail Khan Productions, and Reel Life Production.
