Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson will be teaming up once again for a brand-new animated comedy series called Futha Mucka.
After working together in 2017’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Reynolds and Jackson will star as themselves in the series that is being produced for Quibi, the American streaming service for mobile phones. The plot is undoubtedly different. The show will feature an animated Reynolds falling deeply in love with Jackson, but things soon change for the two. According to a log-line of the show on Deadline: “Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds love each other. More accurately, Ryan loves Sam. When a minor mishap causes Sam to become Ryan’s primary caregiver, things get weird.”
Futha Mucka is being brought to life by Emmy-award winning independent animation studio Titmouse. There is still no information on the show’s release date, but we expect it to release next year.
Reynolds and Jackson will also soon be seen in their human forms, in the Hitman’s Bodyguard upcoming sequel, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. But we might have to wait a while since the film has now been delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
