Rotten Apples: The Worst Films In Akshay Kumar’s Career

Why Akshay why?

Akshay Kumar has been enjoying a good run at the box office, something not many actors can boast of in today’s day and age. We loved him in Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, his two releases this year.

But recently we found out that he is going to be part of Housefull 4, a series which sees him at his worst form. Not because of his poor comic skills, but because Sajid Khan films are an assault to your eyes, your ears and your brain. It makes us wonder how his Housefull series becomes a hit, when his other films like Himmatwala and Humshakals fail to make money at the box office.

But we’ll save the topic of Sajid Khan’s poor sense of cinema for some other day. For now, we’ll take a look at some of the worst films Akshay Kumar has ever done. So without further ado, let’s roll.

Action Replayy

Akshay Kumar’s hairstyle in this movie was a disaster, just like the whole concept. There was one catchphrase that Akshay used called “Aawaaaaz neeche..” which he pulled off with a lot of style. But other than that, everything about this movie was as bad as the title which had an extra y.

Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya Hai

A love triangle featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Karishma Kapoor, it is films like this that make you wonder about why Akshay Kumar ever try his hand at romance. Watch out for the song posted above, which is an overdose of melodrama.

Chandni Chowk To China

Again, a lot of money must have been spent on this movie for no good reason. It is shot in breathtaking locations, but the scenes are so WTF that you cannot tolerate them even if you watch them intoxicated.

Entertainment

It is a movie which is named after a dog, and has jokes that you are bound to repeat to your friends. Not because they are funny, but because they are so bad, you want them to suffer too. We’ll be honest, it’s not a lazy film. It takes a lot of effort to think of something so bad.

Tashan

From the garish costumes, to some seriously mind-numbing dialogues, Tashan tanked really badly at the box office despite having such a stellar star cast. You know what the saddest part is, its director Vijay Krishna Acharya is getting another chance to prove himself by directing another multi-starrer featuring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan called Thugs of Hindostan.
