Matt Reeves’ The Batman starring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader already has a good amount of hype surrounding it. We’re getting a brand-new Batman, new suits, new batmobiles, new story arcs, and no Ben Affleck, what’s not to love?

While a lot has been revealed about the film, we still don’t know who will be the primary antagonist. After the mega-success of Todd Philips’ Joker featuring Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix, fans were excited to see him return in future DC films. But it was confirmed that Phoenix has not signed any new Joker film yet, nor does he have plans to.

But according to a report by We Got This Covered, the Joker will be making appearance in The Batman, but there’s a catch. He won’t be seen in flesh, there will be a few shots where we see his silhouette, and lurking in the shadows. We Got This Covered acquired the information from a few trusted sources, the same ones who helped them break the story of Ben Affleck featuring in Flash, which was later confirmed to be true.

Initially, Reeves thought of just subtly name-dropping him during the film, but has now decided to tease viewers a bit more.

The Batman is set to release on October 21, 2021 worldwide.
