A special screening of Anurag Kashyap’s Dobaaraa was recently held in Mumbai. The film that sees Taapsee Pannu in the lead, is a remake of a Spanish movie named Mirage. Going by the movie’s trailer, Pannu essays the role of a married woman, who travels in time and changes the past. In this mystery thriller, she communicates with a boy who is inside a television. Her quest to save the boy unfolds a mystery and sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

Dobaaraa marks Pannu’s second collaboration with Pavail Gulati after Thappad.

The film will conduct two more special screenings in Delhi and Kolkata, which will be hosted by the Central Board of Film Certification and writer Prasoon Joshi and senior journalist Shoma Chaudhary respectively.

You’ll understand what I mean as you’ll see the film. Best part is that I am still tripping on the story as I’m going to sleep. What if this can happen or has. Hehe.”

Pannu’s last film Shabaash Mithu which was the biopic of cricketer Mithali Raj failed miserably at the box office. Made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, it could only earn an estimated amount of Rs 2.98 crore. Apart from this, she has quite a few projects in her kitty like Jana Gana Mana, Alien, Blurr, Who Ladki Hai Kahaan? And Dunki.
