Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to release on August 11, 2022. And the buzz around the movie has piqued beyond measure. Quite a magnet for controversies, it started when the teaser launched and people just couldn’t accept Khan’s Punjabi accent in it. Then, threats to boycott the movie broke out, due to the actor’s alleged anti-national statements in 2015.
However, on the upside, there are praises pouring in for the film as well. A special screening was held in Mumbai, which saw famous faces like Gurmeet Choudhary, Randeep Hooda , Shekhar Suman, and the like in attendance.
Quite a few attendees took to social media and wrote about their personal experiences of watching the film. Here is what they wrote about it:
Directed by Advait Chauhan and written by Atul Kulkarni and Eric Roth, the movie features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh. This is the official remake of 1994’s Forest Grump.
In a recent episode on Koffee With Karan, Khan revealed that 14 years ago, Atul Kulkarni wrote its screenplay in a matter of two weeks. It was during the premiere of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na when Kulkarni asked him about his favorite film and he replied Forest Grump. Then after two weeks, he called Khan to inform him about his work. The rest, as they say, is history. It reportedly took them close to 8-9 years to acquire the rights to the film.
After doing Dangal in 2016, he is returning to the screen after 4 years. At the show, Khan admitted that he is stressed since the movie is about to release.
