There are two actors in India currently who have a pan-Indian appeal – Rana Daggubati and Prabhas. Prabhas was last seen in the action superhit, Saaho, and has three upcoming big-budget projects lined up – Adipurush, Radhe Shyam, and Nag Ashwin’s science-fiction film.
According to the Hindustan Times, Prabhas has a cumulative budget of over Rs 1000 crore riding on these three projects.
Prabhas shot to pan-Indian fame when he starred in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the second-highest-grossing Indian film of all time with a worldwide gross of ₹1,810 crores.
According to HT, the period drama Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde is being made on a budget of Rs 250 crore. Adipurush, which is slated for an August 11, 2020 release is said to have a budget of Rs 450 crore.
Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s yet-untitled science-fiction project which also stars actress Deepika Padukone (marking her Telugu debut) is being made on a budget of over Rs 300 crore.
