The pandemic gave quite a boost to OTT platforms and many filmmakers in the past moved to these platforms to release their films and shows. Amitabh Bachchan’s Gulabo Sitabo was amongst the first few films to ditch a theatrical release and opt for an online release of their film. Ever since then many films have been announced that will be releasing online on platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and other such platforms.

 

Netflix in the past has announced several movies and shows that worked in 2020 and now adding to their list, the team has announced 41 new titles that are in the pipeline. From Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka to Little Things Season 4, the OTT platform has an interesting line up of content that you probably don’t want to miss.

The 41 new India titles announced will include 13 films, 15 series, four documentaries, six stand-up comedy specials and three reality TV shows. Stars like Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Jitendra Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Kartik Aaryan, Dhanush, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Manoj Bajpayee, Madhuri Dixit Nene amongst others will be seen in different shows and web series on Netflix.

 

Karan Johar has five of his upcoming projects releasing on the streaming platform including the second season of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives. Anushka Sharma’s production venture Mai is also a part of this list while Neena Gupta and Masaba are also coming back with the second season of Masaba Masaba. Taapsee Pannu’s Haseen Dilruba and Pagglait starring Sanya Malhotra are a part of the new projects lined up for release.

Sharing a sneak peek into its slated releases for the year 2021 earlier, Netflix had even shared a video and announced the projects. This includes films and series from the horror zoner to romantic ones and sure looks like an interesting lineup. Netflix also released a hashtag that read ‘#AbMenuMeinSabNew’ (everything is new on our menu) to make the announcement.
