Jamie Foxx has confirmed that he will be appearing as Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. The actor took to Instagram to confirm his return to the electrifying role, but then soon deleted the post.

“Super excited to part of the new marvel Spider-Man new installment,” Foxx wrote Friday. “And I won’t be blue in this one!! but a thousand percent badass!!!”

Foxx may have accidently leaked a major character variation for the new Electro. The fact that he’s not blue, and that he was dead in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 indicates that Marvel and Sony are planning to completely revamp the supervillain.

The role of Electro being filled up once again also suspiciously indicates to Marvel possible recruiting a team for Sinister Six — the supervillain group made up of Electro, Vulture, Mysterio, Green Goblin, Rhino and the Scorpion. From this list, we already have Electro, we saw Jake Gyllenhall play Mysterio in Spider-Man Far From Home, and Michael Keaton portray Vulture and in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and even saw Mac Gargan aka The Scorpion in the film’s post-credit scene.

It seems like Marvel is secretly looking to bring out a Sinister Six film, which the fans definitely wouldn’t mind. We still don’t know who will fill the other spots, but once it happens, it’s almost certain fans will get to witness the supervillain group go against Spider-Man.
