Endgame was the conclusion of one of the most important phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) but was also the birth of a new generation of superheroes. Fans have been speculating about Marvel’s future projects based on rumours for the past few months, but Marvel just put that to rest with the announcement of their expansive phase 4.
The next phase has something for everyone. It includes a whole lot of superheroes both for cinema halls and TV screens. The fourth phase is set to include the following: Black Widow (May 1st, 2020), Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Fall 2020), The Eternals (November 6th, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021), WandaVision (Spring 2021), Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (May 7th, 2021), Loki (Spring 2021), What If (Summer 2021), Hawkeye (Fall 2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5th, 2021).
Prior characters like Thor and Doctor Strange will get their follow-up movies, but with a twist. Thor: Love and Thunder will see writer, director Taika Waititi make a comeback along with a female Thor, played by Natalie Portman. While Thor may once again have a whole lot of light-hearted comedy, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, on the other hand, claims to be Marvel’s first horror film. Deceased characters like Loki and Black Widow will also be getting their very own TV series that will stream exclusively on Disney’s new upcoming streaming platform.
Apart from that, a new animated series called What If…? and a new Marvel superhero movie, Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings were also announced.

After these amazing announcements, Marvel still had a lot more to say. They brought out the star-studded cast of The Eternals which included big names like Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden. But just before leaving, Kevin Feige announced that Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and a new Fantastic Four movie will also be releasing.
It looked like everything was done. Their 90 minutes were almost about to end when they made one last announcement. Feige brought out two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali and confirmed that the actor has been cast as Blade.
The next few years look packed with amazing and exciting projects and we cannot wait till 2021 starts.
