While he had already made his debut opposite Tabu in Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities in 2005, it was in the 2006 blockbuster hit Rang De Basanti that we were truly introduced to the dishy and talented Kunal Kapoor. In a film starring some of B-town’s most accomplished actors, Kapoor’s performance managed to make an impact and he was nominated for a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award.
Following this, the 40-year-old actor was signed by Yash Raj Films and was seen in moderate hits like Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle and the highly anticipated Bachna Ae Haseeno. Kapoor, let’s be very honest, is a super hot guy. He’s got the height, the body, the jawline and the personality. Add talent to all this and it’s a heady mix.
What an inspiration:
However, when it seemed like his career was just taking off, Kapoor decided to take a break for a couple of years and returned with Lamhaa where his performance received due recognition but the film was a box office dud. In Don 2, as well, critics hailed his performance.
The actor has always been the critics’ darling – his performances in the 2012 comedy Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana received positive reviews as did his outing in the Akshay Kumar starrer Gold. He is a trained pilot, began training for Formula Three in 2014 and co-founded Asia’s largest crowdfunding platform, Ketto.
The thirst is real:
However, despite delivering strong performances (and looking heartbreakingly gorgeous while he’s at it), Kapoor isn’t discussed as much as he should be. The dude’s got it all! Here’s hoping we get to see the stylish actor in many more movies.
