Did You Know This Was Ranbir Kapoor’s Fav Street Food Stall?

“My last meal would be bhurji parantha”

There’s the Ranbir Kapoor who was knighted as Bollywood’s ‘poised’ one by Ranveer Singh on Koffee With Karan. And then there’s the Ranbir Kapoor who enjoys his street bhel like the rest of us. He even struggles for that sookha poori (at his favourite chaat stall on Hill Road, Mumbai) just like the rest of us, he revealed, along with various other kitchen secrets during an interaction with us Thursday.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor is the brand ambassador for Pepsi’s new summer campaign, ‘Kyun Sookhe Sookhe Hi’, which pivots on the simple belief that just like life is incomplete without friends, food is incomplete without Pepsi.

“It’s been 10 years for me in the film industry and 10 years of my association with Pepsi. They’ve always come up with such amazing taglines and concepts; the youth can identify with the fun quality of it.”

“To me there’s soft drinks and there’s Pepsi. And not the other soft drinks from the brand like Miranda and 7Up, just the cola.”

And what about street food? “You can have the most expensive food in the world but the kind of street food that Mumbai offers you is amazing,” he said.

Top three street food items according to you? “Bhajiya pav, cheese sada dosa and dabeli.”

And since you travel so much, what are your favourite destinations for food? “New York and Kashmir. The kind of food that I’ve had in both these places, kind of caresses your soul,” he answers.

Any restaurant recommendations in Mumbai? “I’m a big Chinese fan so it’s a bummer that Royal China shut down. But I like Wasabi, Koko and ummm, Masque.”

Okay, before leaving, what would you like to be your last meal? “Definitely bhurji parantha.”

Haha, burrrp! See you soon, buddy.
