Johnny Depp's Ex Testifies Against The Star
Johnny Depp’s Ex Claims Actor Threw A Wine Bottle At Her

We wonder what impact this will have on the ongoing trial

New witnesses have been brought in after both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard presented their case in the ongoing defamation trial. Johnny Depp’s ex, Ellen Barkin, too gave her testimony in the case, revealing shocking details about her relationship with the actor, and it involves her being physically assaulted by him.

She appeared in a pre-recorded deposition played for the Fairfax, Va., jury, asserting that Depp once “threw a wine bottle across the hotel room” in her direction after an apparent fight between him and his friends. “I don’t know why he threw the bottle,” she testified, adding, “It was more like a toss.” Depp had previously called the claim “untrue.”

“He was drunk a lot of the time. He was a red wine drinker,” Barkin added she knew him professionally, as they worked together in the 1998 film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and that they had a “sexual” relationship. She went on to add that Depp was always drinking and smoking joints, and often “tripping” under the influence of hallucinogenics and cocaine.

Johnny Depp’s ex further talked about his “controlling” and “demanding” behaviour. She said that the actor is “just a jealous man.” She added that he would often ask things like, “Where are you going, who are you going with, what did you do last night?” She continued, “I had a scratch on my back that once got him very, very angry because he insisted it came from me having sex with a person who wasn’t him.”

Barkin is one among the slew of witnesses testifying against Depp . Many talked about his career downfall, alleged incidents of unhinged behavior and struggles with drug use. Earlier, Depp’s former psychiatrist testified that he struggled to stay sober as his relationship with Heard went sour. Bruce Witkin, Tracey Jacobs, and Tina Newman are a few names of the witness brought in who testified against Depp.
