Let’s admit that no amount of denying will change the fact that you loved watching Sima Taparia (from Mumbai) making rishtas and passing some unsettling comments while doing it. The famous matchmaker is returning to Netflix with Indian Matchmaking Season 2 and we are ready to binge-watch the new season.
The trailer of S2 was shared by Netflix today. From new clients to old flames still troubling Sima aunty, the trailer already indicated that it could be on top of your cringe-binge list. We get to see hilarious client requests and Taparia judging them in her classic manner. The show will once again navigate the matchmaker’s process of finding love for her prestigious and unique clients.
We don’t know about you, but we are excited to see what the new season has to offer. Here are three reasons why season 2 could be worth a watch:
Sima Aunty And Her Remarks
Sima aunty has some very hilariously strange things to say about her clients. In the trailer, one can see her talking about compromises, love and marriage again, and it’s quite amusing to hear her talking out loud. “You have to adjust a little,” and “I don’t do a magical wish with a wand” are our favourites so far.
New Clients
It was one thing that the old clients on the show did not want to marry someone who is not pretty or loves their independence, but this time around the requests are even weirder. One client requests a person with man-buns while another suggests meeting fellow “ovo-lacto-semi-vegetarians.”
The Return Of OGs
Remember Aparna Shewakramani and Pradhyuman Maloo? They will also return for season 2 as they failed to find a partner back then. The two had some unrealistic ideas about marriage so it will be fun to see if they find a match this time around.
Indian Matchmaking Season 2 will be back with eight fresh, hour-long episodes. “Drawing from her decades of experience, insightful intuition and traditional methods, Sima strives to help some lucky singles find their destinies,” reads the synopsis. The show will start streaming on Netflix from August 10.
