HBO Max surprised everyone by sharing the teaser of Friends Reunion Special Episode yesterday (May 13). The teaser showed the main cast walking into the distance with the theme song playing in the background. The episode is named ”The one where they get back together“. Fans from all across the world shared the teaser on social media and expressed their excitement about the reunion episode. The Friends Reunion Special will be premiering on HBO Max, which raises the question as to how the sitcom’s Indian fans would be able to watch the episode. Since HBO Max is not available in India, one will have to wait for it to arrive in the country soon, and sadly the Indian fans would not be able to watch the episode on May 27.

HBO Max also revealed that Friends Reunion Special will feature a number of special guests including the likes of David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafzai.

Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Perry, and Schwimmer will also serve as executive producers on the unscripted special. They also will be reuniting with Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, executive producer Kevin Bright, and director Ben Winston for this episode.

Despite the general excitement over the upcoming Friends reunion special, co-creator Marta Kauffman wasn’t originally a fan of the idea of a reboot. She spoke at the 2016 Austin Film Festival on a panel dedicated to her beloved sitcom, explaining that the nature of the show meant that a reunion or reboot wouldn’t make sense for the plot. “The show is about that time in your life when your friends are your family,” she said.
