Movie stars are often subjected to rumours and speculations that affect them more than we assume. Henry Cavill, best known for his role as Superman, too became a target of speculations and rumours, and it made him react to it on social media.

Many fans and followers had been speculating things about his personal life, and Cavill wanted to put an end to these speculations. He took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso, and asked everyone to stop discussing her personal life. He added that it affects the people he is close to including his girlfriend, and he had to speak up about the issue because of this very reason.

He posted a lengthy message for his fans and followers and said, “Dear fans and followers, I wanted to make a wee community announcement. I couldn’t help but notice that there has been some social animosity of late. It’s becoming increasingly prevalent on my feed. There have been lots of, let’s call it speculation for now, about my private life and professional partnerships.”

He added, “Now, while I do appreciate the passion and support by those very people who are “speculating”, It has come to such a point that I needed to say something, which in itself, is a bad thing. We are living in an age of social enlightenment. More and more, people are realising that their views may have been blinkered and that they need to expand them to encompass others.”

He went on to add, “So, to you out there who are expressing your disdain and showing your displeasure through a surprising variety of ways, it’s time to stop. I know it can be fun to speculate, gossip, and dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your “passion” is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most.” He said that the “most conservative of negative assumptions” about both his personal and professional life just are not true.

The actor concluded by saying that everyone should embrace this age of social enlightenment together, and move forward with positivity. He added that he is very happy in love, and in life, and that he will be enormously grateful if his fans and followers are happy with him. He also suggested that if someone cannot bring themselves to be happy with the actor, then they, at the very least, can try to do themselves proud and be the best version of themselves.
