Fans Are Liking The New Trailer Of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Addams Series

Deadpan humour, piranhas and more! What else can you ask for?

Fans didn’t exactly have a desirable reaction after the first look images of Netflix’s Wednesday Addams series released yesterday. But now with its first trailer hitting the internet, the tide seems to be turning.

The 2.13-minute-long trailer gives us a glimpse of Wednesday’s happening social life in school, as she exacts revenge on her brother’s bullies by rather violent means. Of course, this led to her being expelled from yet another “normal” school, finally landing herself in Nevermore Academy.

Here’s what the official synopsis reads, “Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago—all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

Wednesday is helmed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who has previously worked on Shanghai Nights (2003) and Smallville (2001). Apart from Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzman the show also stars Gwendolin Christie and Emma Myers. It has also been confirmed that Christina Ricci is also slated to appear, although it is yet unclear if she will be reprising her role of an older Wednesday.

While Netflix hasn’t set a release date yet, it did confirm that the series will premier on a Wednesday in the fall. No surprises there. Until then, here’s what the internet has been saying.
