The highly anticipated Friend: The Reunion finally aired yesterday (May 27). The cast including Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer sat down for a candid conversation, where they made some really intriguing revelations about the show. The highlight, however, was Aniston and Schwimmer admitting that they used to have a ‘crush’ on each other.

The revelation came after host James Corden asked the cast whether any of them ever engaged in off-screen romances with each other. David Schwimmer And Jennifer Aniston then narrated the story of how they had developed a crush on each other, but it did not work out for one or another reason.

The 52-year-old star, Aniston, initially pointed at Schwimmer and revealed that he had a crush on her. “I mean, in the first season, I had a major crush on Jen. At some point, we were crushing hard on each other. But it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that,” Schwimmer then admitted. LeBlanc being the funny person that he is, jokingly went on to say that this is bullshit.

Aniston then recalled a conversation she had with Schwimmer about their first kiss. “Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, ‘It is going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television. Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,” said the actress.

“So we just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.” Schwimmer went on to talk about how he used to cosy up to Aniston during the first couple of years. “When we had breaks from rehearsal, there were moments where we would cuddle on the couch,” he said. “We would spoon and fall asleep on the couch,” Aniston added.

The fans were then treated with some footage of a time that they snuggled together and shared some special moments together. Seeing this Schwimmer reacted and said, “I am thinking, how did not everyone know we were crushing on each other?'” Perry and Cox acknowledged his observation and revealed that they all knew about the duo’s attraction to one another.

Off-screen, Schwimmer was married to Zoe Buckman from 2010 to 2017. The former couple now co-parent their 10-year-old daughter, Cleo. Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. She split from her second husband, Justin Theroux, in 2018.
