After a deadly second wave, things were finally coming back to normal worldwide. Film production had kickstarted once again in a phased manner and new projects were also announced during these last few months. Bridgerton Season 2 also went on floor a couple of months back. The shoot for the Netflix show has however come to a halt.

According to several reports online, one person on the sets of Shonda Rhimes’s produced show has tested positive for the virus. The makers decided to stop the shoot indefinitely and are making sure everyone is safe. It is still unknown whether it was a cast or crew member who tested positive but the person is assumed to currently be in isolation.
Last week another crew member had tested positive for the virus when the team had decided to shut the production of the show. With another case emerging, the team is now considering what their next step should be.
Talking about the new characters that will be introduced in Bridgerton Season 2, Charithra Chandran, Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, and Rupert Young are all set to star in the new season of the popular Shondaland series. According to Variety, Chandran will essay the role of Edwina Sharma, who has been taught by her older sister Kate to be the perfect debutante. The actress’ character is kind-natured and endlessly endearing. She will be looking for ‘a true love match’ in the new season.
As for Conn, she will be seen essaying the role of Mary Sharma. She is newly returned to London with her daughters and is forced to face people scrutinying her all the time. Lynch will play Theo Sharpe while Young will play Jack. Theo is an intellectual, hardworking printer’s assistant while Jack is the newest member of the ton. He has a connection to one of the most notable families.
