Post-pandemic award shows are fun, glamorous, and exciting. And, it was no different with the Emmys 2022. Quite like every other year, there were some obvious wins and some shocking snubs. Speaking of which, the star of the night was Zendaya, who clinched the award for best drama actress for her role as Rue, a teenage drug addict in Euphoria, for the second time in a row. That aside, Lizzo created history by winning her first Emmy for Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, while Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae became the first Asian actor to win an Emmy award for best male actor in a drama.
Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis won another Emmy after his 2021 win. White Lotus was the
biggest winner of the night. The hotel satire bagged as many as 10 awards including best-
limited series, best writing, best directing, best-supporting actor for Murray Bartlett, and best-
supporting actress for Jennifer Coolidge. The Emmys were hosted by Saturday Night Live comedian Kenan Thompson, who made sure everyone had fun at the award night.
