Canadian rapper Drake sure knows a thing or two about handling internet trolls. The 35-year-old recently made news for following and sliding into the DMs of a guy’s wife, to teach him a lesson for trolling the rapper.
The incident started on Tuesday when Drake commented on an Instagram post of an NBA shooting coach Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews. The coach had made a post showing support towards the fathers of NBA players like LeVar Ball and Tee Morant.
The rapper backed Matthew’s sentiment in the comment section, saying that any father would be beyond thrilled his son made it to the elite level of professional basketball.
Further adding that he would be in a similar position, saying “Imagine your son makes the league and he’s Ja or Melo or Lonzo. All you can do is be elated and competitive and it’s a right of passage that the OG’s talk shit. I know I’mma to be this way even if my son is in a Rubix cube competition.”
To this, an Instagram user by the name @ceddybo_ybagnm replied saying, “Ya son prolly play with ghostwriters.”
Obviously the comment didn’t appear to go down with Drake who then followed the user’s wife and later DM’d here. Drake commented back saying, “I just followed your girl cause she’s prob miserable and needs some excitement in her life.”
The Instagram user seems to have taken the whole thing in stride and even shared a screenshot of the DM, Drake sent to his wife, which read “I’m here for u ma.”
