Marvel Studios have dropped a new TV spot for the upcoming Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness movie, giving us a hint on who the big bad of the movie is going to be.
For starters, it seems that both Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff both have recurring dreams (or visions?) of different universes. While Strange’s nightmares appear to be apocalyptic in nature, Wanda’s dreams are haunted by the visions of her sons: Billy and Tommy.
Additionally, we also get a new look at different evil variants of Doctor Strange, one of them particularly looks eerily similar to the one we saw in Marvel’s What If? Animated series. But what’s more interesting here is, that the movie seems to imply that an evil Doctor Strange may not be the big bad villain of the movie.
It may appear that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch may be the movie’s main bad guy. This wouldn’t be completely out of character for the former Avengers member, who we saw battling her own dark side in Marvel’s WandaVision tv series.
The Multiverse of Madness picks up right after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw the multiverse colliding with each other. It’ll be directed by Sam Raimi, who originally helmed the Toby Maguire Spiderman movies.
