Indian-American rapper, songwriter, and singer Raja Kumari, has roped in Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit to be part of her new song “Made In India.” The song pays tribute to Indian culture and heritage and is an interpretation of Alisha Chinai’s famous 1995 chart-buster of the same name. Symbolising the power of solidarity among women, the song shows Raja Kumari and Madhuri Dixit at their Indian best.
While talking about the song, Raja Kumari said, “I’m excited and grateful that ‘Made In India’ is out now. This has been a dream collaboration. The reaction and love that I got for the trailer were unprecedented. Working with so many like-minded ladies to create something that will probably withstand the test of time is an unparalleled thrill. Big love to Madhuri for devoting her stardust to this song.”
Raja Kumari also took to Instagram to share how working with the actress was a dream come true for her. She wrote, “For me…MD has and will always be the epitome of Indian style, beauty, and grace. I’ve met a lot of people in my life, but no one as humble and as genuinely beautiful as @madhuridixitnene.”
“Having lived in the USA for a few years, I completely resonate with the sentiments with which Raja Kumari created ‘Made In India.’ It is an anthem for every Indian born in and outside of the country. It is truly exciting to have united with such a feisty artist for a song that envelopes the spirit of India,” said Madhuri Dixit in a statement.
“Made In India’ is now available on all streaming platforms. The song is part of an EP that will be announced soon.
