Bhumi Pednekar is set to share the screen with Akshay Kumar yet again after the 2017 Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The two would be reuniting on the screen for Raksha Bandhan.
The actor recently spoke to IANS as she credits him to be a huge part of her career and more importantly, a dear friend. “I think my friendship has only become thicker with him. He is someone I hold in a very high regard. He’s been a huge part of my career and we’ve done some very successful things together. He is somebody who I learnt a lot from and only have love and respect for him.”
She, however, did not have as much to say about the upcoming project together and remained mum about the details of the film, “I, unfortunately, can’t [say]. As a principle, I don’t talk about any of my films till the makers do but all I can say is it’s been a very heart-warming process for me to work with two people I love so much.”
Bhumi Pednekar did have a lot of praise for the director, “Aanand Sir is one of the nicest and kindest directors. It’s genuinely an experience to be directed by him.”
Kumar is known to be a kind mentor to those still familiarising themselves with the way of the profession. That may be the reason behind Pednekar’s kind words for him. The two were last seen together in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, a film with societal commentary in its undertones, was very well received by the public.
Akshay Kumar has been subject to lots of appreciation from the public for his role in the recently released Bell Bottom.
Raksha Bandhan can be expected to be released around November. This drama, which revolves around the brother-sister bond, also marks the second collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Anand L Rai.
