Last week, an Instagram account posted dozens of screenshots of direct messages that Armie Hammer had sent women from 2016 to 2020. The messages in the screenshots, which are unverified, seemed to showcase fantasies of BDSM, domination, and cannibalism.
The account claims it was Hammer who authored messages such as: “I need to drink your blood, I crave it,” “I want to eat you,” and “If I wanted to cut off one of your toes and keep it with me in my pocket, so I always had a piece of you in my possession.” Hammer’s ex-girlfriend told Page Six: “He said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it.”
After these screenshots surfaced, Hammer said in a statement to People: “I’m not responding to these bulls— claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.”

Meanwhile, Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers recently announced separation. Chambers filed for divorce on July 10, citing irreconcilable differences, and has asked for primary custody of their children, reported by People.
In identical Instagram captions, the two announced: “Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents. It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage.”
