Here are five movies Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected which went on to become blockbusters.

Fashion

According to the Times of India, Kapoor was Madhur Bhandarkar’s first choice for the lead role in Fashion. However, the actress’ tight schedule prevented her from taking up the role and it ultimately went to Priyanka Chopra. Chopra went on to deliver a stellar performance and win a National Award in the process.

Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai

When the film released, it catapulted Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan to superstardom immediately. Patel’s role was initially offered to Kapoor who even shot for a couple of days. However, according to TOI, the fierce actress walked out as she felt the movie focused on Hrithik a little too heavily. Other reports suggest that she dropped the role to act in JP Dutta’s Refugee.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Everybody in the industry would love to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali but this time around, it was Bhansali who wanted Kapoor to portray the role of Nandini in the film. However, the actress refused the role which ultimately became the one that firmly put Aishwarya Rai Bachchan into the public conscience.

Queen

We know what you’re thinking – “she refused this too?!” Yes, she did. According to Timesnownews, Kapoor didn’t think it was an ‘interesting project’. Well, Kangana Ranaut took up the role and started her reign as a true Bollywood queen.

Kal Ho Na Ho

Again, Timesnownews reports that Bebo refused the lead female role that ultimately went to Preity Zinta.
