If you’re someone who enjoys drama, mystery and suspense, Typhoon Shelter’s dessert menu is the perfect experience for you. This new Hong Kong-themed resto-pub has a crackling menu, but the desserts are making the headlines. We were bowled over by Zen (edible stones that taste of caramel-vanilla and hazelnut crunch), Luna (a sugar ball stuffed with mango sticky rice pudding with a hint of caramel, and lit up with a moon lamp for added effect) and Pingguo (apple compote, yoghurt mousse and miso caramel curd formed as a cuboid, with jewelled rings of compressed fruits soaked in sake).
