Describe your personal style in three words
Not three words, really. I’d rather like to describe my sense of style as an attempt to just be ‘me,’ and being comfortable in my own skin.
If you had to nominate another celebrity to style you, who would you pick?
If not my stylist, then I’d be taking inspiration from either Yohji Yamamoto or Rocky Star. Nobody else.
Three things that make a good suit
In my opinion, the only thing that makes a good suit is a good fit. Once that is fine, the rest gets taken care of automatically.
A classicist or a trendsetter: What tag do you resonate most with?
How about resonating with classic trendsetter?
Watches or wheels?
My wardrobe staple is a really good watch. So, I guess you know the answer!
Five wardrobe essentials you swear by
A good watch, a good pair of shoes, a great pair of blue jeans, a good white T-shirt and a cool pair of shades.
Three recurring products on your monthly shopping cart
Mostly for home. Greek yoghurt, for sure. And milk and almond and peanut butters.
If you had a million dollars to spend on one luxury purchase, what would that be?
There are a lot of brands that I like. Yohji Yamamoto is one of them. Then, there’s Dior, Rocky Star, G-Star and lots more, but these are maybe the top few.
What’s a clothing item you’re currently wearing on repeat?
Vests. Loose, comfortable ones. It’s hot even in winters in Mumbai.
Three fashion brands you genuinely believe deliver bang for your buck?
There’s inspiration from Yohji Yamamoto; he has a brand with Adidas called Y-3. I also really like post-apocalyptic fashion. It sounds really weird and I’m not cheering for the apocalypse or anything like that. The style is just called post-apocalyptic and there are a few brands like Demobaza and Silo, which are French street brands that are cool and fun.
One scent we’ll always find on your dressing table?
Armani is a brand that has never let me down — you can always trust Armani, whatever it is. If you have full faith in it, it will never let you down.
Three stars with an incredible sense of style?
Rahul Khanna, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Jared Leto. They are all very cool.
An ensemble you think you look best in?
I think, suits. A nice, clean-cut, well-fitted suit.
