■ Make the first date memorable. Dinner and a movie is nice, but don’t forget that the better your
date is, the better the story of how you met will be.
■ Don’t take yourself too seriously. Be spontaneous, fun and silly sometimes.
■ Punctuality is the politeness of princes.
■ It doesn’t matter what your job is, as long as you love what you do and do it with passion.
■ If my dog doesn’t like you, that is a bad sign. If you don’t like my dog, it is an even worse sign.
■ Catcalling isn’t cute. A stranger on the street shouting that he likes what he sees is never a nice compliment.
■ “Smart casual” may be easy for you, but it’s bewildering for us.
■ We love subtlety. Go easy on the perfume, the flashy clothes and the pictures of your car. We can tell when a guy is compensating. Confidence is sexy; showing off isn’t.
■ Always be yourself. Find and own that truth, and everything else will come. If you fake it, we will find out sooner or later.
■ Sometimes “I’m fine” means we are fine. Sometimes it doesn’t. Learn to read body language.
■ Don’t ignore our family and friends. They are important and represent where we come from.
■ Three or more buttons undone on a shirt is only acceptable on a beach. You’re not in Miami. Also, Speedos are never okay
