The former Indian captain’s currently holidaying in the United States
Just a day after witnessing the thrilling US Open men’s singles quarterfinal showdown between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, former India captain MS Dhoni, found himself the guest of none other than former United States President Donald Trump at the illustrious Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.
Notably, Trump extended a cordial invitation to Dhoni, who is currently enjoying a vacation in the US. Their camaraderie on the sprawling greens could be seen in the video posted by the Dubai-based businessman Hitesh Sanghvi.
Located in New Jersey, the golf course, purchased by Trump in 2002, sprawls approximately 600 acres on rolling hills in Somerset County. Gracing the grounds is a grandiose 72,000-square-foot clubhouse, resplendent in its offerings of refined dining options, elegant banquet rooms, a sophisticated pro shop, and sumptuous locker rooms.
Furthermore, to further indulge its esteemed clientele, the club provides an array of leisure pursuits, including the ever-popular tennis courts, a refreshing swimming pool, and a pampering spa that promises utmost relaxation for its exclusive members.
Dhoni was spotted flashing his signature mane—a throwback to the early years of his cricketing career, while Trump donned his familiar MAGA cap, as they posed for the picture that has got the internet talking.
Dhoni retired long ago from international cricket but is still leading Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. While the speculations about his goodbye from T20 kept surfacing this year during IPL 2023, the former World Cup-winning captain has maintained a dignified silence.
He underwent successful knee surgery before the start of IPL 2023 and played the whole season with straps on his knee. Under the stewardship of Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings won their fifth title, by beating the defending champion Gujrat Titans in the final.
