Triumph and Kawasaki dominate this list with models like the Z650, Trident 660, and more.
The street naked segment is experiencing a renaissance, offering options across entry-level, middleweight, and even litre-class categories. Here are six of the most powerful naked motorcycles you can currently buy in India for under Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X may be hit now, but the Speed Twin and Street Twin were the company’s mainstays before their arrival, and for good reason. With a 900cc parallel-twin high torque motor, the roadster delivers 65 PS of power and 80 Nm of torque.
While Kawasaki struggles in the 400cc segment, its middleweight range, including the Z650, has been very successful. Featuring the company’s iconic “Sugomi” design philosophy, the Z650 has a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor producing 68 PS and 64 Nm.
Ducati excels at combining performance with style. While most of its offerings are in the premium segment, the Scrambler range provides an excellent entry point to the brand. The Scrambler 800, with its 803cc air-cooled motor, generates a respectable 74 PS of power and 66 Nm of torque.
If the Ducati feels too pricey, the Triumph Trident 660 might be for you. Launched a few years ago, it has found success in the premium 600cc category, thanks to its attractive design and 660cc triple motor producing 81 PS and 64 Nm of torque.
The Z900 remains the top contender in the sub-11 lakh naked motorcycle category. With the same Sugomi design philosophy but in a more robust package, the Z900 is the only motorcycle on this list with an inline four-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 125 PS of power and 98.6 Nm of torque.
