Lamborghini Teases Off-Road Friendly Huracan Sterrato
Lamborghini To Introduce An “Off-Road” Huracan, With The Sterrato

This might be the last naturally aspirated Huracan before the plug-in hybrid variant arrives

The Lamborghini Huracan might be on its last legs, but before it makes way for its plug-in successor, the company wants to introduce one more variant to its lineup. After giving us the Ultimae, the last iteration of the Aventador, the Raging Bull of Bologna has teased us with the ‘Huracan Sterrato,’ its first “off-road” friendly Huracan.

Showcased as a concept back in 2019, the Huracan Sterrato looks like any other Lamborghini, apart from the addition of a few off-road friendly parts. This includes bolt-on fenders, skid plates, an extra LED mounted in the middle of the front bumper, roof rails, redesigned intakes, a new diffuser and larger 20-inch alloy wheels, shod with chunkier rubber.

From the looks of it, the Sterrato appears to have a higher ground clearance than its sibling, along with a tweaked suspension setup. However, as we mentioned earlier, all of this is still packaged in a supercar body, so don’t expect to win any Dakar trophies with it.

While details on the specifications are still scarce, we expect it to pack the same naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 motor seen on other Huracan models. What remains to be seen is how will be it tuned to suit the car’s needs. For instance, the same engine on the EVO RWD makes 610PS of power, while it makes 640PS of power on the Evo AWD, Tecnica and the STO. We suspect the latter would be more suitable for the Sterrato.

The company is expected to showcase the Sterrato in the coming months, most likely at the 2022 Paris Motor Show in October. As things stand, this will be the last of the pure-bred Huracan to come out of the Sant’Agata company, before it makes its way for its plug-in hybrid successor.
