India Gets 3rd ODI Win Gaining 3-0 Lead Over New Zealand, Comfortably Wins The Series

India cuts short their five-match series by getting a 3-0 lead over the Kiwis

With two matches still to go, team India comfortably beat New Zealand by 7 wickets at the Bay Oval stadium in Mount Maunganui.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had an above 100 partnership with both the players hitting half centuries. After the two were taken out, Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayadu stepped on the pitch and easily snatched that target of 244 runs with 42 balls still remaining.

A report by Times Of India quoted Virat Kohli saying, “Amazing. Three clinical games for us. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. We really enjoy ourselves and the guys believe in their skills and they are showing it on the field. When a guy doesn’t get runs in a couple of games the opposition still feels that he’s gonna fire. I haven’t had a break for a long time. It’s been hectic. I can relax and enjoy my break. Some day someone has to take your place and that’s how it goes. Shubman is a very exciting talent and I saw him bat in the nets and I was like wow I was not even ten percent of that when I was 19.”

The report also quoted New Zealand captain Kane Williamson saying, “they are a very good side and they are teaching us a lesson. There are improvements today and we want to appreciate some of the lessons we have learnt from their side.”
