Latest Gadgets That Make For The Perfect Gifts This Diwali

From the iPhone 14 Plus to the latest fitness tracker, Fitbit Sense 2, here are some gadgets that you can gift your loved ones

iPhone 14 Plus

iPhone 14 Plus might just be the iPhone for most of us. It’s surprisingly light despite its immersive 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display. It’s almost 20% lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro Max and yet scores on battery performance -– the best on any iPhone thus far. It’s powered by the same A15 Bionic processor as last year’s iPhone 13 quartet – it’s all the firepower you need, even if you are a heavy-duty gamer. Apple has tweaked the aperture in the primary 12MP cam for an improved camera performance especially in lowlight mode. There’s also Action mode to capture all your outdoor action moments. (Rs 89,900 onwards)

Lenovo Yoga AIO 7

Whether you need to work on split screens or need extra screen real estate for a virtual meeting screen, you probably need an All-in-one desktop. This one lives up to the ‘Yoga’ suffix; it rotates so you can flit between portrait and landscape mode. The 27-inch UHD touchscreen (3840 x 2160 pixels) is the star of the show; it peaks at 360 nits and delivers vibrant colours. We’d recommend the variant with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with a AMD Radeon RX 6600M 8GB GDDR6 graphics card. It’s complemented by 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage (Rs 1,71,990)

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 makes the strongest case for a foldable smartphone. It’s marginally thinner and about 8 gm lighter than its 2021 predecessor. At its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The big change is the rear cam. The 2022 Fold comes with a 50MP primary lens and a 3X optical zoom on its telephoto lens. It’s also one of the first devices to ship with Google’s Android 12L specifically designed for larger screens. It adds to the muti-tasking abilities of the Fold 4. But it’s the primary display that stretches to 7.6-inches (with a 120Hz refresh rate) that is its calling card. (Rs 1,54,999)

Sennheiser Momentum 4

Sennheiser Momentum 4 is designed for all day use minus the fatigue with a lightweight form, a richly padded headband and deep cushioned earpads. Audiophiles will appreciate the acoustic system powered by a 42mm transducer that provides brilliant dynamics, clarity and musicality. Its next generation Adaptive Noise Cancellation ensures users stay immersed, hearing every thrilling detail even in noisy environments. You can choose between Adaptive Noise Cancellation that allows you to immerse yourself in your playlist or switch to transparency mode with a flick of a button. Sennheiser’s Smart Control app allows you to
customise your experience with Built-in EQ, sound modes and the new Sound Personalization feature. (Rs 34,990)

ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED

ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is positioned as the world’s thinnest and lightest 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED touch screen laptop. This slinky workhorse is just 14.9 mm thin and weighs just above 1 kg. It’s the first notebook in India to be powered by Ryzen 6000 series CPUs. Crafted with a magnesium-aluminium alloy that keeps the laptop light and durable, the S13 comes in two refreshing pastel shades. The immersive screen features a tall 16:10 ratio and is backed by dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Battery life is solid thanks to a 67WHr battery; there’s a 65W fast charger in the box. (Rs 99,990 onwards).

Xiaomi Pad 5

Xiaomi Pad 5 has pitched itself as a serious iPad alternative with equal emphasis on work and play. Xiaomi is playing up its MIUI for Pad, a user interface designed for the tab. This UI has multi-tasking capabilities with split screens and floating windows. You can also add the Pad Keyboard and Smart Pen (optional accessories) for serious productivity. The Pad 5 boasts of a premium design and build. It weighs just over 500g and is less than 7mm thin. The 10.95-inch (1600 x 2560 pixels / 275 PPI) WQHD+ display features a 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 500 nits. (Rs 26,999 onwards)

Google Pixel 7 Pro

Google Pixel 7 Pro is one of the best mobile shooters out there. The new Google flagship smartphone comes in a cool hazel shade where green meets grey. It looks every inch premium with a shiny, polished aluminium chassis crafted with 100% recycled content. The 7 Pro boasts of a gorgeous 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that peaks at 1500 nits. It’s powered by Google’s own Tensor G2 chipset and comes with all the Google smarts we’ve come to expect from Pixel phones. It’s the triple rear camera that has our attention with a 48MP telephoto and a whole bunch of computational photography tricks (Rs 84,999).

Fitbit Sense 2

The first generation Fitbit Sense is one of the only smartwatches in India with an ECG monitor and can also track your skin temperature variations. This year’s Sense includes a Body Response sensor, which measures EDA for all-day stress management. At first glance, it might look similar to its predecessor but there’s a slim side button that is placed higher in and is easily accessible. The other improvement is Fitbit’s sleep tracking feature – Sleep Profile now breaks down your sleep data each month and pinpoints how you can improve your sleep based on 10 key sleep metrics. (Rs 24,999)
