Porsche recently joined BMW, Tesla, and Audi in the latest electric vehicle movement.

 

Porsche unveiled its first battery-electric car, the Taycan Turbo and a high-performance version Taycan Turbo S, in the previous week. 

While it is good news for the electric vehicle industry, there are few people who are not happy with the Porche’s use of the word “Turbo” in their newly launched car. 

The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, is not impressed at all. He took to Twitter to express his criticism about the situation.

Autotrader explained ” If you’re shopping for a car and see the term “turbo” or “turbocharged engine,” it means that the engine employs a device called a turbocharger. A turbocharger is an add-on part that uses recycled exhaust gases to — quite literally — boost an engine’s performance.”

 

This isn’t the first time that he has called out electric cars for their names. When Audi launched its electric vehicle “Audi e-Tron”, it was pointed out that the word etron meant ‘shit’ in French. Musk went ahead and retweeted the tweet and wrote:
