Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Speaking Out On The ‘No Interference’ Clause Shows Why People Need To Stop Pitting Women Against Each Other

CC: Kangana Ranaut

Director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari is all set to bring her sports drama Panga to life with Kangana Ranaut playing the lead. However, a few reports surfaced regarding Tiwari signing the ‘no interference’ clause with the Manikarnika actress due to Ranaut’s alleged tiffs in the past, be it with Hansal Mehta during Simran, Vishal Bharadwaj during Rangoon or the most recent one with her director Krish.

Tiwari decided to put all rumors to rest by putting out this statement.

A misconstrued notion that two women working together can never see eye to eye is a prevalent and outdated concept and this incidence rightly proves it. Tiwari not only dismisses the idea of any clause but also stated that only Ranaut can truly do justice to her part. A boss lady standing up for another boss lady is what we are here for. The actress has fallen prey to many allegations the most recent being on the sets on Manikarnika when she stepped in the shoes of her director. People were quick to call it another incident where Ranaut had willingly taken the control in her hands. Later these claims were dismissed as sources clarified that the director has been caught up with another project and the actress merely decided to fill in for the remaining schedule.

The line of continued misjudgments against the two only goes on to show how the world takes some sort of a liking in pitting two strong women who speak their mind against each other. At the recent U.S Open, Serena Williams ushering to console the first time Grand Slam winner, Naomi Osaka was another example of why women need to stand for other women now more than ever.

In the wake on such false headlines that might catch our attention, we hope to see these two stay unaffected and merge their creative sensibilities on screen. If this hasn’t been said enough, let’s remember that there’s enough room for everyone out there to thrive. Belittling another is outdated and deserves no attention.
